Dear God, please be with me
As I deliver mail today
Guide me, oh so carefully
Down the streets where children play
Through the hustle and the bustle
Of the offices downtown
I know you're watching over me
As I swiftly make my rounds
Keep a steady watch
Over my fellow carriers too
If they run into problems
Please guide and help them through
Help me share a smile
With those I meet along the way
And give me strength and patience
To complete my busy day
And my final delivery will be to you dear God
Michael will also be sadly missed by his fellow brothers in arms of the 49th RQR battalion.
