All my sympathy to Sue and Sean and all the family. She's with Anne now. Your Mum changed my life when she was the librarian at Chisholm Street, and she helped me as a sick but studious kid. I particularly remember the day she read us 'Mulga Bill's Bicycle' from a picture-book. It was the first time that I discovered poems came in books (had heard them orally from Mum) and it opened up so many possibilities for me. I'm glad I had the chance to tell your Mum what she had done for me and thank her for it. I could never bring myself to call her 'Beatrice', she was always 'Mrs. Guinane' to me. For you she was so much more. All my sympathy in this very hard time.
