Dear Uncle Jack,
I can't imagine what it would have been like growing up without you and Ruth next door..
You taught us many things, especially how to avoid detection when either climbing back over the fence or into the front windows!!!
Hope we didn't terrorise you too much growing up!!
To the Butterworth family, our deepest condolences on the loss of Jack.
Rob, Cheryl, Warren and Mark Saunders and families

I have the most wonderful memories of Mr Butterworth, as my woodwork teacher and my year nine section teacher. He was a clever man (he refused to take our class - 9L1 I think to Glendaruel that year). Years later he and Ruth would come into where I worked, to shop. I would say "Hi Mr Butterworth" and he would reply "Call me Jack". I eventually called him Jack. What a great man, great educator and a lovely friend to many. Condolences to Ruth and Family. RIP Jack.
