Good to share in the funeral service for Jeffrey, even if from a distance.
It was wonderful to get to know Jeff at our weekly gatherings for Mainly Music. He was always warm and interested in our activities. It was great to see him enthuse about the growth of each of the young children. Having watched the photo tribute as part of the service, watching Jeff with his grandkids, it’s easy to see that love for children.
Our thoughts are with you at this time.
Bruce and Dianne Wilson.

Dear Glenyce,
Under these difficult circumstances it was a privilege to join with your family in such a beautiful and meaningful service to honour Jeff's life. Gordon and I have been the recipients of your care and prayerful support throughout our officership. We remember the regular emails whilst we were in Darwin asking for prayer subjects. Our family too fondly remember the days at Cray Drop In.
Our love and prayers are with you and the family in these days.

My condolences to the whole family. I remember Mr Richardson well from school days at Heathdale. Clear memory of a note that he wrote me thanking me for making Maths fun for (young) John in year seven! Blessings at this sad time.

Jeff and I first met, would you believe, nearly 50 years ago. We had adjoining offices at the Colac Herald where we both worked as journalists in the early 1970s. He always had this friendly, warm smile. Nothing seem to faze him. He rode a motorbike back then. He loved that motorbike. Sadly our paths have not crossed often in recent years but when they did Jeff always greeted me with that same broad, welcoming smile. Our prayers go with you Glenyce and your family at this sad time.

A true soldier of the Cross who braved his challenges and battled them to the end. A simple man with no airs but a deep love for God and his Word. A learner who by his attitude and perseverance taught me much. We will miss you Jeff at our MARS study group, yet we thank God for the example you have left us.and for Christian hope that goes beyond the grave and will never let us down. Here is one last song for you Jeff even as you loved your hymns:
Stand up, stand up for Jesus
Stand in his strength alone
The arm of flesh will fail you,
You dare not trust your own
Put on the Gospel armour
You soldier of the Cross.

My memory of Jeff can’t escape a gold glitter coat that he used to wear to night clubs before His life changed. A big smile and a warm greeting was always one of his hallmarks.
Taking up a challenge was not beyond him and I remember a story he once told me. A certain daughter thought she could beat Jeff in running but she more than met her match that day when she was soundly beaten. A faithful servant of God ...well done! All our love to Glenyce, John, Andrea and Kareen Love From Larry and Sharon
