Dear Jill ,
Our thoughts are with you and the family in this sad time.
Had the pleasure of working in partnership with Ian in Geelong for 16 years and friendship for many more years.
He was there when the going got tough.
He was there to celebrate the many good times.
He was there to provide counsel to the many who sought it
He was there to have a joke with.
He was there to have a blue with when strong wills collide.
He was there to patch up differences over a beer.
He was there as a friend to all.
He was there to lead the way.
Most of all he was there for you and the boys.
A larger than life character who cast a long shadow and we have all took comfort stabding in that shade at times.
Rest in peace IVE.

Jill, Adam and Ben I am so sad at the passing of Ian. The service has brought back so many fond merrories about Ian at Aunty Rae's in Torquay. I remember the fun, the partying that occurred so often. I also remember throwing up in Anderson Street as a result of to much alcohol I had drunk at one such party. Ian always had a larger than life presence and boundless energy. Aunty Rae was so proud of him as are you. Julie and I loved the service and we are so proud to be part of it. Thank you so much. Love.

The sadness of Ian's passing is tempered by the big life that he led. I remember him as someone who was passionate about the things he cared about - his family first and foremost. There are many people who contribute to who you become over the years and the things you achieve and Ian was one of those people for me for which I thank him. My condolences to Jill, Ben, Adam and the members of Ian's extended family.

Dear Jill and family
Thoughts are with you all.
The Von always had such a great energy, hilarious sense of humour and boy could he move a list whilst still ensuring fairness and kindness to all.
A great man, who will be so missed by court staff.
Much love.
