Adrian was my oldest and for a bunch of years in the middle there only friend. He lived just up the street from me when I was a kid. We hadn't caught up since just after my daughter was born. Life got in the way. I'll miss you bro.

Adrian drew this for me back in 1999 as a Christmas gift. I have cherished it forever and it hangs among the art work of other great cartoonist I have met. I wish we could have met, as we where friends and brothers in art. I miss you my dear friend.

Adrian/Ara did this piece for me some years ago. That was for my birthday, before coming in this little corner of the world called Republic of San Marino after having attended Confuzzled , a furry conv. in UK where I met Adrian, the kindest man I ever met

I met Adrian/Ara Karaath online within the furry community. i grew up with their webcomic, A Perfect World when I was young, but I didn't get to meet them until only a few years ago. We had a shared like for transformers, though he impressed with how vast his collection was and how much he knew. It was always a pleasure to talk with them about our hobby as I beginning my collection. I only wished I could have spent one last moment talking with them again.

I first came across Adrian/Ara Karaath when he signed up his webcomic, In A Perfect World, on a service I administer, Comic Genesis. With that he became well known in various furry communities, and friends to many. I (among others) wished we had met him in person.

Most of the time I just knew you as Ara, the short form for Arakaraath, your online persona. To me you were a beacon of light in the scary world of the internet. Somewhere around 2013 we two started chatting, having found contact nearly at random via a common friend. Back then I was really afraid to open up to people, both online and offline. Yet with you, it somehow felt easy.

I had known about you from your webcomic, and when I read it, I was delighted and thought how cool it would be to contact you and thank you for creating it, making us laugh with it. Back then I would have never thought it could actually happen. Yet it happened, and I am so grateful for it. You were there for me during many rough times, giving advice and suggestions, or simply being there for me, listening to my worries, my day-to-day life. I am sure, without you, I would not be the man I am today.

I will do my very best to keep carrying the torch you gave me, to keep the light shining bright for all the people to see, to share your inspiration and your art for as long as I can, so that people will be able to see your talent, your ideas and your humor. My only regret I have now is that I was never able to meet you in person and give you a hug to thank you that way for all you did.

My deepest and most sincere condolences to his friends and family

Adrian, you will always be in my heart

Until we meet again.

Adrian, whom I knew as Ara, knew me as Flynn. For my old and dear friend, I offer this parting

“Lo, there do I see my father.
Lo, there do I see my mother,
and my sisters, and my brothers.
Lo, there do I see the line of my people,
Back to the beginning!

Lo, they do call to me.
They bid me take my place among them,
In the halls of Valhalla!
Where the brave may live
...forever!”

A picture Adrian / Ara sent me a few days after Xmas 2020, when we found out that we had similar looking scarfs and he wanted to show me his one.
