The Railway Mans Prayer

Now that I have flagged thee, lift up my feet from the road of life and plant them safely on the deck of the train of salvation. Let me use the safety lamp of prudence, make all couplings with the link of love, let my hand-lamp be my bible, and keep all switches closed that lead off the main line into the sidings with blind ends. Have every semaphore white along the line of hope, That I may make the run of life without stopping and when I have finished the run on schedule time and pulled into the terminal, may thou superintendent of the universe say "Well done, good and faithful servant, come into the general office and sign the payroll and receive your check for happiness.

Noel has now pulled out of the station and in recognition of his life all of Noel’s family and friends are invited to Bonnyview Hotel Gympie Road Bald Hills His life celebration will take place on Tuesday 26th July at 12:30 Pm Don’t be late Noel’s train will be running exactly to time.

I was very sorry to hear of Noel's passing. As a Qld Rail worker I knew Noel for many years as a Station Master, Traffic Inspector & also as a member of Qld Rail Electrification Team. Noel was well liked & respected by everyone. He would be described as a real good bloke. Noel liked a game of lawn bowls & being President of Kalinga Bowls Club I enjoyed his company on a number of occasions.
My sincere sympathy to Nenita. Noel will be sadly missed by Nenita & his many friends. RIP Noel

A proud moment for Noel when I had asked him to 'give me away' on my wedding day in 1967.

We have very fond memories of this gentle, very generous and caring soul who gave so much for others. We feel very blessed to have been a part of Noel's life. Our prayers must go to Nenita for her love and selfless devotion to Noel especially during these past months when he was so ill.
