The funeral service to celebrate the life of the late Jim Poyner will be held at The Mirambeena Community Centre, 19 Martha Mews Lavington at 2pm on Thursday 15th September 2016, thereafter a private cremation.
Jim died in the loving care of the Mercy Hospital Palliative Care on September 6, 2016. We will miss your love, energy, enthusiasm and commitment to your profession, the community and to our family and friends. You had the ability to see the good in people and to step in to help those less able.
Fiercely and tenderly loved by Jill. Devoted father and father-in-law to Kate and Doug, and Tom and Liz. Delighted Grandpa of Hamish, Eloise and Liam.
Your strength and love will stay with us forever.

Jill - mike and I send our love to you. You are in our thoughts and we cannot imagine the loss of Jim in your life. I am sure you are comforted that you are surrounded by love and support of people who love and care for you in the days ahead . In the short time we spent with you and Jim we knew the strength and love you both had for each other and had sustained your family, marriage and life together.
We are grateful that we got to know Jim in the time we had with him. He was a gentle,gracious and gregarious man !!!

Almost 40 years ago Jim knocked on our door looking for UK Poyners- his relatives had emigrated from UK in early 1900's - so started an amazing chapter for us all with visits both ways. Jim you will be very sadly missed by all of our family.
